This game is about a series of mutanted bananas chaseing you around a labortory bunker. Its mostly a cat - mouse horror game with you as the mouse with a few boss battles sprickled here and there. Each boss has their own thing going for them and some have henchman while others do not.
game aesthetics - mood board
when creating this mood board I imaged a lavatory with high tech gadgets and that is why I choose these lab senses to be put in my mood board. I choose the scientist and the lab to further show where the game is set and who the main character is. I choose these color palettes because these are the main colors ill be using for the game, grey , blue , black and white will be used for the hallways and labs in the lavatory. Yellow, red, gray and as well as black will be used for the monster(s) and the minions. This relates to my game because my game is about experimentation on banana and the incident of banana. Finally, this will affect the game because without bananas this game wouldn't have a premise to it and would be pointless.

refriger -
backstory: refriger chases you throughout the game if you continue to attack, if you don't it gets stuck in the first level. He was born from you experimenting and seeks revenge.
personality: Refriger's personality is like a volcano it's calm at first but then it explodes, the reason for this is because the main chacter, Billy bob Jones, is using him as a counter to the finial boss to the game, the Trapper. but this also relates to the game because the game is pretty chill at first but then quickly gets more aggressive with each and every level.
The spotter -
backstory : the Spotter is a WW2 veteran captured by the government for his toughness in the war, where they tried hard to turn him but soon prevailed in doing by the time the game is set. The reason why the government people were doing this was because the Spotter the first prototype to beat the Trapper, which that was trapping them in the facility, but failed after the Spotter gained free will back and forming a alliance with the Trapper where he takes the top floor and the Spotter takes the bottom, out of spite for the humans, pushing them further deeper into the facility.

the completed storyline
The year is the early 1950’s WW2 ended 5 years ago with the allies winning. But a new threat has arrived, the cold war, an age of paranoia and worry. But the government was up to something, a laboratory in Russia has been keeping a fly trap in its clutches in hopes of making a super plant to take out the U.S.
Today is 1952 dec 24 the prototype is about ready to be transported to a truck that will smuggle it onto a plane where it will spread out of control and destroy the U.S. But something strange happened today when the staff went to collect the fly trap. It was nowhere to be seen.
This was incredibly bad because we still had to remove the will and consciousness out of the fly trap. If it still had those things inside it would most likely go berserk in the laboratory. The day is 1952 dec 25, vines have now started to appear around the vents, as well as the vault door, with their gears jammed by the vines.
I suspect these were the fly traps. He blocked the gears in the laboratory and the vents to the building so we couldn’t call for help, he intended to pick us off one by one without anyone knowing what the hell was going on. Today is 1952 dec 26, my fellow comrades have left me alone on this floor with this monster.
I am trying to escape through a hole I have made with a pickaxe and shovel I found in my closet. the door handle riddles .
Ah I don’t have much time I just need to let you know, its weakness is cold, DO NOT TRY TO BURN IT!!!
The metal door creaks from the pressure coming from the other .
Fire only makes it bigger and stronger.
. The guards had no idea what they were dealing with and sprayed it with loads of fire and with the intensity of a forest fire if all the trees were covered with gasoline.
The door flies off its hinges and smashes the man in the face, his blood flies all over the pages of his dairy. My name iss - is Dr. Jones andedd this iss goodb-. The scream could be heard from all the way down the hallway, if anyone were there to hear it.
Walking down the halls of the 2nd level was a monster with three eyes and scars to show the battles the banana had endured.
Meanwhile, one of the last scientists sneaks around the corner of the lab witnessing the eyeballs on the walls and one of the eyes spots the man, becoming bloodshot in the process. The scientist can feel the ground shake, he turns around and runs in the opposite direction of the rumbling. He takes a corner around and sees the stairs to the lower level, ice covering the stairs freezing the door. He looks to his left and sees a small banana. It lunges at him and explodes,the man yells, the banana monster wipes its head to the location of the yell. The man opens his right eye to see the monster sprinting from the end of the hallway, He tries to run away, but to no success. He looks back and sees the monster practically on top of him, the monster’s fist wound up ready to strike, the fist connects with the scientist’s face, he is shot across the hallway and into a cold hard wall killing him instantly.
One scientist remains, one with a firie lab coat, one with the sharpest sunglasses you have ever seen. His name is Billy Bob Jones who survived his encounter with the venus fly trap and is seeking revenge for his arm was taken and he will take something back. Dr. Jones had been preparing a perfect counter to the venus fly trap. A freezing banana monster that he will be able to control and will be able to exterminate all the banana monsters and their underlings to retake the lab. But Dr. Jones heard something in the distance he turned around to face behind him to find the seeker staring right at him. The seeker was not in good condition, he was suffering from frostbite due to bananas not being able to withstand freezing temperatures. Dr. Jones pulls out his short sword to cut down The Seeker. The Seeker charges at Dr. Jones and misses, but Jones doesn’t, slicing The Seeker across the abdomen. Though The Seeker wasn’t aiming for Jones he was aiming for Jones banana creation, which was being held in a glass pod right behind him. The seeker’s punch lands on the pod shattering it, releasing the creature onto Dr. Jones. Jones runs to the metal bridge used to cross through the silo containing a large amount of banana. Dr. Jones looks back at his creation and the seeker and cliches his fist in frustration. He then climbs onto the railing on the bridge and jumps off.

GAME MECHANICS:
The way this game works is like a cat - mouse horror chaser with boss battles sprinkled in. The game has serval different stages or floors to go through before reaching the final floor. It also handles in different game mechanics like rolling: a way to quickly dodge over head attacks, crouching: a way to more slowly dodge a over head attack but be able to hind from enemies, lastly sprinting: a way to quickly move out of the way of aoe attacks. But there are also some value systems like the stamina and health bar: the stamina bar is drained by using one of the skills shown above, but when it reaches zero you don't die like the health bar but slowly regenerate it if you don't use any skills. The health bar meanwhile can not be regenerated unless you get an item that allows you to, once your health bar reaches zero you die and need to start from the beginning of the game. There are NO check points in this game, it works very similarly to Isaac reborn where theres multiple stages and no check points, not even between levels.
PITCH AND OVERALL VISON:
my game puts on different perspectives for every thing in the game; the Banana monsters are sentient and have reasons for why they are attacking you. But also because the game has a back story you learn throughout the game and you learn of the monstrosities he has committed against these plants and you then learn why they are attacking him like this.
GENRE:
The genre of this game is a horror, thriller type with boss battles and chase scenes. This game fits similarly to Isaac reborn with the type of boss fights it has, but also Omari for it is also a horror rpg.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
Its audience is geared to a median age of 15 - 25 because any younger and the wouldn't be able to handle the banana guts and 25 because any older and they'll find it cringe or something.
STORY + CHARACTERS:
This game is set in Russia in the cold war, Russia's top serect project is a super plant that is weak to the cold but thrives in the heat. So much that if it is set on fire its growth will spontaneously explode causing the plant to kill anything in its way of growing further. The scientists in the bunker that they held this experimental super plant learned this the hard way when a fire broke out near the plant. The plant and the fire had a symbiotic relationship were the plant was fuel for the fire and the fire was fuel for the plant which caused both of them to grow out of control causing almost all of the scientists to be killed in this plant/fire frieze. Expect one survived, they were cornered by the fiery plant in his cubical and had locked himself in there. But eventually the plant busted through the lock on the door and brutally mauling the man and then leaving him for dead. But he survived but not without losing a arm in the process. He dragged himself down to the further lower levels where he experimented on a monster that resembled the plant monster's host: a banana, which was in a testing tube right next to it when it breached containment. These bananas weren't regular bananas; they had been super sized and they also grew limbs, which they used to walk on two legs. But these bananas needed a sacrifices to grow and develop to these proportions, one example of this was a war veteran in ww2 which they had sacrificed to be turned into one of the banana monsters. But his rage caused the experiment to fail and he also escaped down to one of the lower levels where he turned some of the scientists into mini banana minions that followed his will to the ends of the earth. Finally when the last scientist escaped to one of the lowest levels where no banana were able to reach just because of how cold it was he began the experimentations. After a very long extended period of time he finally made a breakthrough and made a counter to the plant which was a banana sacrifice that had antifreeze coursing through its veins. But the transformed banana war veteran managed to find way into the level where he kept the frost banana creation and broke him out and kidnaped and ran off with him onto on the higher levels. The finial scientist had to escape down to the lowest level of the bunker, but not before grabbing his trusty sword while he was escaping. And after landing in a heap of left over bananas, the character wakes up and the game begins for the player.
AESTHETICS:
The game is a steam punk grimy underworld. I am try to achieve a scary atmosphere but impowers you enough to make you feel like you can fight back; There's more options then just running and hiding.
SCOPE:
The scope of the game is to have sound effects, movement mechanics (rolling, sprinting, crouching, etc.), with a steam punk style 3d environment, there will also be other effects like explosions, sparks, dust, and gas, and maybe a little background ambience.
MAP:
When the player first start the game he starts in a silo with the sky above it, the player starting point is the brightest place in the level, the rest of the level it is lit by emergency lighting (a dim red occasionally flickering lights) the monster is massive compared to the player, if the player was 6 feet tall the monster would be like 8 feet tall. The monster is slightly faster than the player and is very load allowing the player to sneak around the monster without it hearing them. This creates a scary and interesting environment for the player. The way it rewards the player is through the fact that the player can complete objectives while being able to feel good about not being caught by the monster.
The player would move through the map by creating distractions for the monster and sneaking from place to place, making an attempt to not alert the monster of their location. But when they do get caught or when their feeling a little reckless they sprint across the map making progress alot faster but putting them more at risk. At the end of the first level there is a sword for they would use that sword to kill mini monsters to restore health for when the next main monster attacks them.
My refence for the legend/assets list was the DnD world creation legend inside the assignment. There were only some I created myself, like the locked door or the sword

WHITEBOX:
when I started making the white box I started with the outlines first and then went to the smaller details. I used the in game chacter to scale everything correctly to make sure it is up to scale with the player character. the most difficult thing I did in the whitebox was make the door holes because no one knew how to do it so I had to find out my self. white boxing relates to the skills I already have because poly editing and assets creation were things I learned in previous lessons. The next step in my plans are to do the grey boxing, which is where ill do the assets and textures for the game.
Grey Boxing
When I first started I replaced the boxes with chests and tables, I created all the assets I used In my game. This way I can use the assets without too many glitches from importing them because I never had to in the first place. I selected the models I did because they fitted into my game; a regular table would fit into my game better then a pool table because the game is set in a lab. The grey boxing affected my character also because they had to adapt to the limitations of the application Ex: I switched the monster from a banana into a potato.
Asset Creation
I did not use 3ds max for this asset because of the bugs from the importation of assets from that thing is horrific. When I created this asset I planed on it being a banana but the application I used to make this (Unreal Engine) didn't have the agility to to do that, so I made a potato instead because it was capable of doing that. I now plan on making this asset be the main antagonist for the character by coding him to avoid obstacles and have the ability to run, this way it can chase around the player when I am done coding it.
